André Mocker completed an apprenticeship as a communications electronics engineer at Deutsche Bahn and subsequently worked for several years in the semiconductor industry at Infineon in Dresden (D) in the area of operating and maintenance. In addition, he graduated from the TU Dresden (D) with a diploma in electrical engineering and microelectronics. In his final thesis he dealt with the plasma chemical structuring of silicon substrates for the production of X-ray lenses. Since August 2013 André Mocker is working for the Institute for Micro- and Nanotechnology at the University of Applied Sciences and Technology Buchs in the competence area process technology and microsystems.

At the Institute for Micro- and Nanotechnology we are engaged in applied research and development projects in close cooperation with industrial partners and other research institutions. Our expertise covers a large range of the microtechnology field and of other engineering disciplines.
