Based on the concept of SystemtechnikNTB, which comprises electronics, mechanics and computer science, the Institute for Energy Systems IES combines an energy-efficient and CO2-free usage of technology. The conception of system is the basis for project engineering.
The Institute for Energy Systems is mainly involved in the following areas
- Research: Applied research and development in the field of thermal and electrical energy systems (power electronics, photovoltaics, heat pumps, refrigeration technology, power supply and acoustics). Transnational research with our partner network.
- Service: Measurement services and projects in cooperation with industrial partners and our partner network. Laboratory and field measurements of thermal and electrical installations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical and thermodynamic energy systems.
- Continuing Education: Specialist courses, colloquia, lectures, meetings, professional Master (MAS) and consecutive Masters (MSE)
